If you haven't already read it, I'd like to point you in the direction of the latest post at Laurelin In The Rain. Not only has she posted an excellent critique of the terrible and frustrating Kate Taylor article in The Guardian, but she has actually recieved word from Ms Taylor herself who states "I wanted to tell you that I have been humbled and shamed by your comments on that article. You’re absolutely, 100% right…"
This is fantastic news. Not just for Laurelin, but for all rad-fem bloggers. It just goes to show the power that an intelligent argument holds!

Laurelin’s post was fantastic! And you have to give Ms Taylor some cred for acknowledging her ignorance.
I agree with you Violet…to have your argument considered, heard and acknowledged as meaningful by any puppet of the patriarchy is a radfems dream. I hope Ms Taylor now goes on to write (and have published) the story of her humbling - how it happened, why it happened, the politics behind the whole thing.
Laurelin did a fabulous job of deconstructing the patriarchal lie. I hope Ms Taylor - with her ‘in’ to the mainstream - has the ovaries to take her newfound awareness and help to make it mainstream.
After all, anyone can be ‘humbled’. I want to see her put her consciounsness where her pay-packet is and come right out with an article that fair zings with right-on feminism - not the patriarchy pleasing kind.
But, yes. BIG - UP to Laurelin. Feminist ranting rocks!
